Marine Transmissions |

Performance is what it's all about...And Twin Disc Marine Transmissions are all about performance! Twin Disc Marine Transmissions feature helical gearing for quieter operation on most models; hydraulic-controlled and oil-cooled clutches for smooth, fast shifting; identical reduction ratios in forward and reverse, in most cases full power forward and reverse, and minimal external plumbing. Some models are available with down angle output to provide near-level engine installation, a feature of particular interest to boat builders for optimizing space within the vessel. Also for space savings, remote mounted V-drive and direct mounted V-drive models are available. Optional trolling valve assemblies are available for most Twin Disc models. The trolling valve provides the ability to obtain lower propeller speeds than would be possible at engine idle speed with the clutch fully engaged. Omega Power Control is available on the MG-514M and the MG-530M. The Omega Power Control is similar to the trolling valve except that it allows clutch modulation at higher engine speeds and provides an internal governor to maintain a set output speed. Torsional input couplings and electric shift selector valves are available for most models. |
